Importing
Fabric into EQ4
- Select
"Library", then "Fabric Library".
- Select
"Import Fabric". This will bring up a Windows box
that allows you to search for a folder on your harddrive. If
you are importing several fabrics at once, its a good idea to
create several folders, once for each colour or type of fabric
that you are importing.
- Once you
have located the fabrics you wish to import, click on the file
name. (If you hold the Shift key down, select the first and
last file, this will select all files inbetween. This saves
time if you have to select lots of files!).
- When the
fabrics are showing up in the EQ4 window, then select "Copy".
This copies the fabric swatches into your sketchbook.
- Select
"Libraries", then "Add Fabric".
- On the
right hand side of the screen, a list of "User Libraries"
is given. Select the library you wish to add the new fabrics
to.
- Two horizontal
panels of fabrics are then shown. The first is labelled "Fabric
Sketchbook". You may need to scroll to the end to find
the newly added fabrics.
- Highlight
the fabric you want to add then press the "Copy" button.
This will add the fabric to the bottom Panel, titled "Current
Style".
- To save
the additions, press the "Save Library" button.
- Then press
"Close".
- Now the
new fabrics should be available in the fabric library.
