Monthly Monochrome Swap

 

If your a SCQuilter, here are the instructions for the MM Swap:

You do NOT need to sign up for this swap. If you wish to participate, please check this months colour and due dates below. In this first swap we will be swapping in lots of 6 blocks (make 6, keep one, send 5 to the central location) which are swapped at a central location by the swap hostess. You can send as many sets as you like but don't get too carried away! Each set must contain 5 identical blocks. Block sets at due at the central swap location by the last day of the month.

For those of you who have never been in a 9-patch exchange, it works like this: Each person makes 6 (six), 9-patch blocks. Send 5 blocks to the central location and keep one for yourself. We will be exchanging 6 1/2" blocks (6" finished, 1/4" seam allowance all around). The block will consist of 9 squares arranged like this:

The P's are all the same Print. The S's represent squares of a Solid. The print fabrics must read as the colour of the month from a metre away.

Accuracy counts! Be sure you measure your blocks to make sure they are 6 1/2" square. You may find that using SCANT 1/4 inch seams on your block will make your block size much closer to 6.5". For instructions on how to make a 9-patch block or a list of the monthly colors please email me.

ALL FABRICS SHOULD BE PREWASHED & IRONED 100% COTTON! DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND EMAIL ADDRESS WITH YOUR BLOCKS (inside a plastic bag) PLEASE! A block set all by itself with no name included cannot be returned to you if/when the envelope gets shredded en route.

April - 30's Repros (any colour as long as the print and the solid are the same eg both pink or both purple etc)
