In Progress

Below you will see a "Donate" button. I have added this in an attempt to keep this site going. The popularity of this site has increased my webhosting cost considerably and unless I can recoup some of the costs, I will be forced to delete this site. It has also affected adding new patterns and other resources. So if you get some benefit from this site, please consider making a donation.

Jewel Box

This quilt is based upon the design by Jinny Beyer, which is available at her website. It is made up of a single block, which is rotated to give rainbox pattern. I am thinking of using the purple from the central diamond as the border, with perhaps a strip of one of the reds, then more purple.

This quilt has come to a halt due to the fact I have run out of the dark purple colour - help!!

You need a 16 colour, colour wheel to make this block. The block is very simple to construct. It is made up of one small square and a large triangle.

Elemental Wallhanging

This is a small wallhanging I am working on. Normally I don't do wallhangings, but this is an exception! Each colour represents an element and the direction that that element is associated with(Fire=North, Water=East, Air=South, Earth=East). The black blocks will be quilted with a star pattern. This work measures 45cm x 45cm

Purple Garden

This is an initial layout for some swap blocks. The blocks come from the R.C.T.Q newsgroup Purple Swap.

The are only two green fabrics in this picture, but I plan on using four different green prints. I have twelve blocks at the moment, but will probably make a few more.

Hand Dyed Colourwheel

I have only gone as far as making the blocks for this project. There are 18 blocks, 16 are shown here. I am thinking of putting a large Mariners Compass or some sort of star in the centre. What do you think? The main problem is that I only have fat 1/8s of each fabric. Each block is 15cm.

Yellow and Blue Stars

This quilt will be a 12 block lap quilt which will probably end up on the lounge room wall. I need to increase my collection of yellows to complete this quilt. A long term project this one!

Millenium Quilt

Well, this one is definately a long term project. I have 13 blocks completed so far. Each block contains 5 signature squares. I need 47 blocks to complete the quilt. Most will not contain any sig squares or maybe just one in the middle. I will have to keep swapping. Check my MQ page, for details on how to swap with me, and to see details of each block.
