"Scrap-it - Piecing-it 2" by TnC Scrapps for Design Originals (March, 2002)

This 35 page, full colour book is full of paper piecing patterns. On the whole these patterns are quite large and would take up considerable parts of a 12x12 page. However, I'm sure they could be resized quite easily or would be suited to layouts where only one or two pictures are available.

The various patterns include:

• Racing car (F-1/Indy)
• Graduation
• Large Teddy Bear
• Gardening Tools, Leprechaun Hat and Girl Softball Player
• Flowers and Sunday Best Straw Hat with flowers and bow
• Fishing
• Baseball
• Camping (tent with feet sticking out)
• Picnic basket and contents
• Swimming and School Days
• American Footballer with cheerleader
• Halloween with bat and ghosts, spooky tree with skeleton
• Autumn (acorns with room for photos, scarecrow, cornocopia)
• Pilgrims
• Basketball and ice hockey (good for Winter Olympics - Laren)
• Skiing
• Chrismas (tall, thin toy soldier and western santa with ten gallon hat and vest)

The patterns are easy to follow and show how to layer and put the designs together. Each design also comes with an accompanying layout showing how the pattern looks in a completed page.

The patterns for people in the book are not the customery paper doll type designs but much more like cartoon or colouring-in book type style.

Not a bad book but the style of paper piecing is not one that I would use, but that is a very personal choice. Still a solid effort for those wanting something a bit different.
